In the stunning northern highlands of Rodríguez de Mendoza, a dedicated group of 124 women is transforming their passion for coffee into sustainable livelihoods through the Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros de la Cuenca del Rio Marañón (APROCCURMA). Over five years, APROCCURMA has empowered these women, who use organic practices and meticulous processes to cultivate and produce high-quality coffee.
Each coffee cherry is carefully harvested and processed on-site, ensuring a unique story in every cup. APROCCURMA supports these producers by improving infrastructure, providing financial assistance, training, and technical support specifically for women. This holistic approach not only enhances coffee quality but also uplifts families and communities. By marketing their coffee internationally, APROCCURMA helps these women achieve better premiums, promoting empowerment and resilience through their craft.
