The Women's Initiative - Uganda
As a women owned and operated coffee company, we find it paramount to support women producers to end gender disparity in coffee growing regions. This medium roast is marked by crisp acidity and a medium body with a citrus zing, floral notes and a round, nutty finish. We have carefully selected the coffee we use for The Women’s Initiative coffee to foster growth for women in their communities by providing better access to a living wage, land ownership, and educational opportunities & to help close the gap for women at origin.
This coffee grown on volcano of Mount Elgon in Uganda is brought to us by the Friends of Mothers Initiative. Grown by 500 dedicated women farmers who hold 90% of the management roles, this coffee empowers women through sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship. Learn more at friendsofmothers,com
